There is a lot of excitement about the new Hotmail, and we are certainly eager to get the latest release into the hands of all our customers. Several of you have asked, “When will the new Hotmail come to my country?†As we mentioned in our earlier announcement, we don’t roll out by country (or by language, or anything else like that).
Microsoft readies new Express version of its IIS Web server
Microsoft is readying a first public beta of a new Web server, known as IIS Express.
The IIS Express release “combines the use of the Microsoft ASP.Net Web Server with the full power of IIS,†which is integrated into Windows, according to a June 28 blog post by Microsoft Corporate Vice President of the .Net Developer platform Scott Guthrie.

Windows 8: A First Peek
Until now. Thanks to a mistakenly leaked set of documents Microsoft shared with its PC maker partners–I won’t reveal the source like some other unprofessional bloggers did with this year’s iPhone 4 leak–we now have our first inside look at what Microsoft is currently thinking about including in Windows 8.
Windows Live Messenger Connect is now available
Today we are announcing availability of Messenger Connect beta. Messenger Connect allows users to communicate, share, and connect with their Messenger friends on other websites. It is a flexible, yet prescriptive set of APIs to help create intuitive experiences that can be tightly integrated into a website or another app.
Microsoft Network Monitor 3.4
Network Monitor 3.4 is a protocol analyzer. It allows you to capture network traffic, view and analyze it. Version 3.4 is an update and replaces Network Monitor 3.4. Network Monitor 3.x is a complete overhaul of the previous Network Monitor 2.x version.

New Windows Live Essentials available to beta testers on June 24
Microsoft is making available the beta bits of its next Windows Live Essentials Wave 4 suite as as of Thursday, June 24.
Once the beta is released on June 24, it will be available for download here from the Microsoft Live.com site.
Windows Live Messenger full or compact view
For over ten years now, instant messaging applications have shared a common user interface pattern – a slim window with your contact list in it that you can keep docked on the side of your screen. This makes it easy to keep the window open without taking up too much screen space. Because really, all you’ve ever needed from instant messaging is a list of friends, which allows you to launch popup conversation windows.
Windows 7 SP1 beta now available for testers
Microsoft released a beta version of Windows 7 SP1 on Tuesday.
In an email to technical beta testers, the Windows Customer Connection Team confirmed the release of the Service Pack in English, German, Japanese, French and Spanish editions. Weighing in at 1.22GB the build was compiled on June 3 with the number 7601.16562.100603-1800.

Active Directory Migration Tool version 3.2
The Active Directory Migration Tool version 3.2 (ADMT v3.2) simplifies the process of migrating objects and restructuring tasks in an Active Directory® Domain Service (AD DS) environment. You can use ADMT v3.2 to migrate users, groups, service accounts, and computers between AD DS domains in different forests (inter-forest migration) or between AD DS domains in the same forest (intra-forest migration). ADMT can also perform security translation (to migrate local user profiles) when performing inter-forest migrations.
Windows Live Messenger for iPhone now available!
Microsoft has just released version 1.01 of Windows Live Messenger for iPhone, and it’s available for download now from iTunes. This new app brings Windows Live Messenger, Hotmail, Windows Live social networking and more to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Developers to get Windows Phone 7 devices in July
So far, developers wanting to write programs for Windows Phone 7 have had to rely on a software emulator to see how their programs will run. Starting next month, though, the first group of developers will get their hands on actual devices.
While Microsoft says it won’t have enough phones for all developers, it is working to make sure that the devices aren’t limited to just the big software developers.
