In that time I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve written about performance, user experience, bandwidth, and latency. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve written about the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brianmadden.com\/blogs\/brianmadden\/archive\/2007\/11\/05\/remote-display-protocols-for-vdi-will-rdp-be-enough.aspx\">importance of the display protocol in a desktop replacement environment<\/a>, where real users will use the protocol every minute of every day. And of course I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve played with all the various protocols in the lab.<\/p>\n<p>But there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s one thing I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve never done: I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve never actually used a remote display protocol for my daily job, every minute of every day. Since joining TechTarget last November, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve started working in an office (my choice!) and using a real desktop computer.
