A couple of days ago Microsoft released a <a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/942567\/\">new update for Windows Vista that adds additional wireless support and functionality to the operating system through a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153feature pack\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/a>. Specifically it adds support for <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bluetooth#Bluetooth_2.1\">Bluetooth 2.1<\/a>, a new \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Unified Pairing\u00e2\u20ac\u009d interface as well as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Windows_Rally#Windows_Connect_Now\">Windows Connect Now<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d updates and can only be installed on Vista SP1. <\/p>\n<p>This is interesting to me not because any of the features above, but because up until now, the client version of Windows has never had \u00e2\u20ac\u0153feature packs\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. We have hotfixes, security patches, service packs and rollups, but not feature packs.
