It seems wherever I go and whatever I read about the desktop and where it\u2019s headed, virtualisation is something that people want to talk about. Often these conversations are about VDI (virtual desktop infrastructure) but in part that seems to be because VDI is such a buzzword at the moment, and people want to know more about it. <\/p>\n<p>One of the problems if you\u2019re new to the topic is getting to grips with the concepts and technologies. Because it\u2019s hot there is no shortage of information but in some ways that\u2019s part of the problem: there\u2019s too much information and most of it seems to assume that you already know a whole lot about the subject and tends to dive right in to a level of detail that, as a newcomer, you really don\u2019t need.
