It seems wherever I go and whatever I read about the desktop and where it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s headed, virtualisation is something that people want to talk about. Often these conversations are about VDI (virtual desktop infrastructure) but in part that seems to be because VDI is such a buzzword at the moment, and people want to know more about it. <\/p>\n<p>One of the problems if you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re new to the topic is getting to grips with the concepts and technologies. Because it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s hot there is no shortage of information but in some ways that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s part of the problem: there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s too much information and most of it seems to assume that you already know a whole lot about the subject and tends to dive right in to a level of detail that, as a newcomer, you really don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t need.
