Earlier today the Exchange CXP team released the following Update Rollups for Exchange Server 2010 and 2007 to the Download Center. Release via Microsoft Update will occur on March 22nd 2011.

Microsoft is releasing the first service pack for Visual studio 2010 this week, according to ZDnet. Starting today, MSDN subscribers will get access to the update and the general public will get access on March 10. Visual Studio SP1, which has been in beta since December 2010, includes improvements to developing in Silverlight 3 and 4, as well additional features that support Windows 7 based MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class) interfaces usable for Direct2D, DirectWrite, and Windows Animation. Microsoft also promises numerous bug fixes and overall improvements to responsiveness, stability, and performance.

Four months after it debuted Office for Mac 2011, Microsoft on Tuesday launched the first free trial of the application suite.
The trial version of Office for Mac Home and Business 2011 includes fully-functional versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, the suite’s word processor, spreadsheet, presentation manager and e-mail client.

This separation and packaging enables existing Windows applications, not specifically designed for Windows Azure, to be deployed on a Windows Azure worker role.

An anonymous tipster informed me on Friday that Microsoft had shut down its Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) program as of Thursday, December 16. Previously, if you wanted to download an Office add-in or template, you had to pass through a validation step first, confirming that your copy of Office was “genuine.â€
