SkyDrive adds app-centric sharing for Office, HTML5 upload and more

In a posting on the Windows Live Blog, the team have announced a bumper update to the SkyDrive service that will start to roll out to end-users in the next couple of hours.

One of the new features is adding more options for sharing files. The new SkyDrive allows people to share items simply by putting in a person’s email address from your address book, including your lists from Facebook, LinkedIn and others. You can also create a URL link to your SkyDrive files that could be set to private viewing only, viewing and editing if you want the person to edit that item or a Public link that let’s everyone check out that file.
